Day 3 - Springfield, Illinois to Rolla, Missouri - 06-11-08

Harwin starting things off at Arts Motel for a picture op

Lunch was spent at the Ariston Cafe in Litchfield, IL

Bobby's is not on the Route but it was a very nice detour (I highly advise trying the chocolate custard)

Harwin at our next stop, Brook's giant catsup bottle, the largest catsup bottle in the world. The bottle itself is 70 feet tall

Crossing the Mississippi

And arriving in Missouri

The all important Arch

Nice church in St. Louis (can't figure out how to flip but you get the idea)

Route 66 State Park that dead ends at the bike path

One lane bridge to enter the park

We have stopped for the night in Rolla. Dinner was OK but dessert was fantastic. We found a pie shop and the place we had dinner at had something called Gooey Cake and it was pretty darn good.

Does catsup count as a vegetable?
